File Converter — From What You Have to What You Need

Choose the format you have and the format you need, or just drop a file. Every conversion here runs in your browser — PDF, images, iPhone HEIC, audio, CSV and more. Nothing is uploaded.

File Converter — From What You Have to What You Need

Pick the format you have, pick the format you need, and you are sent straight to the tool that does it — with your file already loaded and the output already chosen. Or drop a file first and the starting format is recognised for you. The list only ever offers conversions this site genuinely performs in your browser: PDF to JPG, text, Word or PowerPoint; images between JPG, PNG, WebP and SVG; iPhone HEIC to JPG or PNG; audio and video soundtracks to MP3; CSV to JSON or to a UTF-8 file Excel reads correctly; Markdown and plain text to PDF. Some conversions people often need cannot be done faithfully without the original application — Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Keynote and Pages to PDF among them — and choosing those tells you so, and points to the route that works, rather than handing back a distorted file. Whatever you convert stays on your device: nothing is uploaded.

Only Real Conversions

The “to” list shows only what your file can genuinely become in a browser. Nothing is offered that the site cannot do properly.

Your File Comes With You

Drop it once. It travels to the right converter in memory, already loaded, with your target already selected.

Honest About the Rest

Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Keynote and Pages to PDF need their own apps. You are told why, and shown the free route that works.

Never Uploaded

Every conversion runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and you can check.

Technical FAQ

What can I convert here?
PDF to JPG, plain text, Word or PowerPoint; JPG and PNG to PDF; JPG, PNG, WebP and SVG to each other; iPhone HEIC photos to JPG or PNG; M4A, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, MP4, MOV and WebM to MP3; CSV to JSON or to UTF-8 CSV; Markdown and plain text to PDF. Pick a format under From and the To list shows exactly what it can become.
Why can I not convert Word, PowerPoint or Excel to PDF?
Because doing it faithfully needs the application that made the file. Page breaks, fonts, tables, slide layouts and spreadsheet print areas are computed by Word, PowerPoint and Excel themselves, and no browser library reproduces them without visible errors. Rather than hand you a distorted PDF, the converter explains this and links to the free routes that work — usually exporting from the app, or from its free web version.
Are my files uploaded when I use the converter?
No. When you drop a file and choose a conversion, the file is passed to the right tool inside your browser’s memory — it never leaves your device, and the page you land on converts it locally. You can confirm it by watching the Network tab in your browser’s developer tools.
Why is the list shorter than on other converter sites?
Sites with hundreds of formats convert on their servers, which means uploading your file. This site converts in the browser, which keeps your file private but limits it to formats a browser can handle properly. It lists only what it genuinely does, rather than offering conversions it would do badly.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes, where the tool supports it — HEIC photos, images, audio and PDFs can be dropped together. Drop files of one format at a time; the converter recognises the format from the files and takes them all to the right tool.
