MP3 Cutter — Trim Audio Free Without Uploading

Cut MP3, M4A, WAV or a video soundtrack on a waveform: drag to trim, cut out the middle, add fades, save as MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC or OGG. Free, browser-only, no upload.

Example: start 4.5s · end 128.0s → a clean MP3 with the dead air gone

MP3 Cutter — Trim Audio Free Without Uploading

Most recordings need the same edits: drop the silence at the front, cut the dead air at the end, and sometimes lose a stumble in the middle. Drop an MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC or even an MP4 video and its waveform appears; drag the two handles to the part you want and save it. Switch to Cut out selection to remove a section from the middle instead, add a fade in or out, preview the result, and save as MP3 — or as M4A, WAV, FLAC or OGG. The file is decoded, cut and encoded in your browser, so a private recording never leaves your device.

See What You Cut

Drag handles on a waveform instead of guessing seconds. Arrow keys nudge a handle by a tenth of a second when you need precision.

100% Browser-Only

No upload and no server copy. Decoding and encoding both run in the tab, so private recordings stay on your machine.

Trim or Cut Out the Middle

Keep a section, or remove one from the middle and join the rest — a cough, a mistake, a phone ringing.

Any Format In and Out

Opens MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG and video soundtracks; saves MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC or OGG with no watermark.

Technical FAQ

How do I cut the beginning and end off an MP3?
Drop the MP3 onto the page and its waveform appears. Drag the left handle to where the audio should start and the right handle to where it should stop, then save. Play selection lets you hear exactly what you will keep. Everything happens in your browser.
Is the MP3 cutter really free with no upload?
Yes. The audio is decoded by your browser, cut as raw samples and encoded again in the tab — there is no server step, no account and no watermark. You can confirm it in the Network tab of your browser’s developer tools.
Can I cut a section out of the middle of a track?
Yes. Select the section with the handles and switch to Cut out selection; the audio before and after it is joined with no gap. Play around the cut lets you check the join before saving.
Does cutting an MP3 reduce its quality?
Saving as MP3 re-encodes the audio, which loses a little; at 192 kbps or above it is inaudible to most listeners. Save as WAV or FLAC if you need the cut with no further loss.
Can I cut audio out of an MP4 video?
Yes. Drop the MP4, MOV or WebM file directly; the soundtrack is decoded, and you cut and save it as audio in the same step. The video itself is not kept.
Can I trim several files and join them?
Yes. Add more files and they are joined in the order listed, each with its own cut — trim the end of one and the start of the next before they meet.
Which formats can I save as?
MP3, M4A (AAC), WAV, FLAC and OGG (Opus). M4A and OGG use your browser’s own encoders, so a browser without one — Firefox has no AAC encoder — shows that format as unavailable.
