Markdown to PDF — Rendered in Your Browser
Markdown is the format everyone writes in and nobody can hand to a client. This renders it — GFM tables, task lists, fenced code, headings, quotes and images — and lets you save the result as a PDF whose text is still text: selectable, searchable and copyable, not a screenshot of a document. Paste it in or drop a .md file, and the preview you see is exactly what prints, because the export keeps the same element rather than re-rendering it. Raw HTML inside the Markdown is sanitised before anything is displayed, which matters the moment you paste a README you did not write. Nothing is uploaded: the parsing, the rendering and the printing all happen in the tab.
Text Stays Text
The PDF keeps selectable, searchable text and vector type — not a flattened picture of your document like canvas-based exporters produce.
Real Markdown Support
GFM tables, task lists, fenced code blocks, nested lists, blockquotes, images and heading anchors all render the way they do on GitHub.
Pasted HTML Is Sanitised
Markdown may contain raw HTML, so scripts, iframes, forms and inline styles are stripped before the preview renders a single character.
100% Browser-Only
No upload and no server copy. Drafts, contracts and internal notes are rendered on your own device.
!How It Works, Step by Step
Paste Markdown into the editor, or drop a .md, .markdown or .txt file. Nothing is uploaded.
Watch the preview on the right — that pane is the document that will print.
Optionally set a title, which becomes the suggested filename, and tick "Start each section on a new page".
Click Save as PDF and choose "Save as PDF" as the destination in your browser’s print dialog.
In Your Browser vs. on a Server
| Feature | Local (Us) | Cloud Tool |
|---|---|---|
| Text in the PDF | Selectable and searchable | Often an image of the page |
| Privacy | No upload (browser-only) | Document uploaded to a vendor cloud |
| Raw HTML in Markdown | Sanitised before rendering | Varies, and rarely stated |
| Cost | Free, no account | Often limited or paywalled |
