Is this like an online Photoshop?

It is a focused subset. If you only need the background gone, you do not need a full editor or a subscription.

Does the background remover upload my image?

No. The image is decoded into a canvas and every edit happens in your browser via the Canvas API. You can confirm this in your browser developer tools network tab — no request carries the image. That makes it safe for client logos, unreleased product photos, and scanned signatures.

Why is my whole image disappearing when I click the wand?

The tolerance is too high, so the wand treats the subject as part of the background. Press Undo (or Ctrl+Z), lower the tolerance slider, and click again. Does it work on photos with complex backgrounds?

This tool is deliberately precise rather than automatic.

How do I remove a white background from a logo?

Set the tolerance around 20 to 30, click anywhere on the white area with the wand, and untick "Contiguous only" if white also appears inside enclosed shapes such as the counters of letters. Then enable "Trim transparent edges" before downloading so the PNG is cropped tightly to the logo.

Can I paste a screenshot instead of uploading a file?
